If you are filing directly the deadline is October 31st for the previous tax year ending on June 30.
Filing Via A Tax Agent
A registered tax agent can help you prepare and lodge your tax return. Te fee they charge for this service is tax deductible. If you are filing your tax return via a tax agent, the deadline is February 28
Late Filing
If you don’t lodge your return on time, a penalty can apply - especially if you owe tax. If you are due a refund you may avoid a penalty.
You can reduce the size of any penalty due by lodging your return as soon as possible, even if you are already late.
